There are moments in life when you feel absolutely alone. Your thoughts are so complex and deep that you cannot even imagine how to invite another person into them with you – even if there were someone. At that precise moment you may feel tempted to abandon your faith, lose hope, give up and give in to the path of least resistance. I can assure you that you are not the first to walk this path. Jesus did it – “…and He went into the wilderness where He was alone, and was tempted…”
But being alone does NOT mean you need to be lonely! In the wilderness, angels ministered to Him. Though you may be alone with your thoughts, circumstances, and temptations, know that the Holy Spirit is with you; angels surround you; God embraces you. Loneliness is not your destiny on the path of walking with God.
If you are in class tonight in Azusa, encourage your prof to take a break to allow you to go to the Chapel Service – 7-7:30pm in the VIP Room at the Event Center.
Feel free to send any prayer requests to me. Our Prayer Partners will pray for you.
Grace with you,
Kevin
