Listen for the Voice

As you know, we take the summers off.  It’s a diversion, a change, and hopefully a respite from lots of things going on throughout the year.  But as you enter a time of disconnecting and being a bit lower energy, let me urge you to listen.  Not with your ears, but with your heart.  That’s where the Lord speaks.  It’s not a loud voice; it’s not competitive.  It’s just a quiet, inner voice that usually will point you to worship and trust in God.  Amid all the noises of work, play, travel, and distractions, would you listen for the voice?
