Sometimes you can’t decide that; things just happen and you are left to “deal with it.” It would be really nice if we could determine our destiny and circumstances. But there are too many variables for us to control. So, while you may not be able to determine your destiny, let me encourage you — you CAN determine your character. And it’s your character that will help you deal with the path you walk toward an unknown destiny. You can decide to make Jesus Christ a vital part of your life, and your character will begin to be transformed into a character that resembles his — Christlike. So whether you’re under pressure, against the wall, discouraged, or hurting, a character that is becoming Christlike is the only thing that you can be sure will sustain you. Make a good choice.
