What a Semester!

Renna Nightingale Sunday, December 18th, 2011

This semester has been crazy! I can’t believe it’s over. It seems like just yesterday I returned to school early for Alpha Leader training and was standing on the steps of West Campus waiting for my freshmen! It has been a season of laughter, hope, growth, tears, and fun!

Some of my top highlights:

-My alpha group! We shared amazing adventures such as paint wars, pumpkin carving, Christmas parties, Secret Santa, movie nights, baked goods, deep conversations, prayer, one-on-ones, Donut Man, field trips, photo shoots, worship, and so much more! I will always cherish the wonderful people and awesome memories!

-Living Situation! I lived in Bowles, which is a bit of a ways from campus. But as our T-shirts say, “It’s worth the walk!” I was blessed with incomparable roommates with whom I could not have lived without.

-Theatre! I am a Theater Arts major, and I absolutely loved my classes this semester! I took Musical Theater Workshop, Intermediate Acting, and Tap. It was such a blessing to learn and be challenged in what I love! I have grown so much in my craft this semester.

-AC Group! As an alpha leader, I was placed into a group of eleven other people that I spent training, Bridges (super secret alpha training trip!), once a week. They became another family for me at APU.

Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this semester! I don’t know how it can get better than this :)

The One Where I Introduce Myself.

Hannah Friday, October 1st, 2010

Hey! Well my name is Hannah Gregerson, and my experience at APU so far has been nothing but amazing. As the year goes on, I hope to share my experiences as a student here with you!

There are so many good things I could write about APU, I’m having a hard time figuring out how to start! I guess I could start with a little background about myself and how I ended up here. I was born and raised in Visalia, CA. I’m a sophomore this year, majoring in nursing. I have a younger sister who’s a senior this year, and a younger brother who is in 6th grade. My dad is an elementary school teacher, and my mom is a pediatric physical therapist. I graduated from El Diamante High school in 2009, and haven’t missed it since I set foot on APU’s campus.

A little bit about who I am personally: More than anything, I’m so in love with God. Since I’ve been at APU, He’s become such a real factor in my life, and I’m learning more everyday about why I have such faith in Him. I’m really into outdoorsy stuff like backpacking and I LOVE hanging out with friends. I can only cry out of my left eye, I know, really weird. I’ve played the piano since I was five. I could literally live off of green tea, celery, and Special K bars. If you look in my cupboard, its pretty much stuffed full of only those three things. My favorite animals are owls, I think they’re adorable and I want one as a pet. If you find somewhere that sells them, please let me know! If you want to know anything else about me, just ask! I’m an open book. :)

Ending up at Azusa Pacific was really a God thing. I had never really even heard of APU until the middle of my senior year. I, by chance, toured it as a last stop on my way home from touring other schools. As soon as I walked on to the campus I knew it was where I wanted to go to college. Everyone was so friendly, and you can literally feel God’s presence here.

Here is a little taste of my life at APU so far.
