I am sure everyone is aware of the horror that has occurred at Virginia Tech University. It is a terrible tragedy and my heart and prayers go out to the Virginia Tech community. I know that here at APU, students are praying for our fellow collegiates. In chapel, the morning the shootings occurred, our campus pastor, Jamie led the APU community in a prayer for Virginia Tech.

In the two years I have been here, I can recall several other times that the APU community has lifted people in prayer. From professors going into surgery to students who had been in car accidents, APU is committed to prayer as a first resort for comfort. What a blessing it is to know that I attend a school that looks to God first for solace and understanding.

On my journey of faith, God has not always provided the answers to the hard questions life elicits but He's faithful to remind me that His ways are beyond mine and I can trust in Jesus. Always and completely.

Gospel Sing!

I love Gospel Sing!

Gospel Sing is an annual event at APU when APU's own gospel choir, musicians, and step teams perform along with other choirs and groups from various churches and organizations. It's a night of worship- gospel style.

I took a break from a paper I'd been writing to go to this year's Gospel Sing and I am so glad I did. It was so much fun not to mention I was blessed by the worship. We have so much amazing musical talent at APU! I'm constantly in awe of the singers, musicians and dancers who use their talents to give glory to God.
