Here are some last highlights about life before I say farewell:
My mid-semester change of major:In the middle of the semester I changed my major of Psychology to become a double major in English with a concentration in teaching and Theatre Arts. I hope to become a high school English teacher while also directing high school theatre productions.

My summer:I will be attending summer school at my local community college to catch up on some credits since I’m double majoring and I want to make sure that I graduate in four years. I’m also looking for a part-time summer job, hopefully something in retail!



Next fall:I will be returning to APU before classes begin to train for Alpha. YES! I’m going to be an Alpha Leader!!!! I get to have my very own Alpha group and welcome the new freshman at orientation! I’m soooo excited! I will also be starting a telecounselor job in Admissions, which will be exciting because I will be able to talk to everyone about why APU is so amazing!



Now it is time to say goodbye. I can’t believe that it’s time to say bye for the last time… My final goodbyes go out to the girls of 4th north that always gave me something to write about for my blogs! Another goodbye goes to my D-Group that supported me spiritually this year and was always an inspiration to me. My final goodbye goes to everyone that has ever read one of my blogs. It was my pleasure to write to you all and tell you about my first year of college!!!!

To conclude our notorious year, we partied and ate food. Our RA planned a “4th North Finale” at a resident’s house up the street from APU. We had an Italian dinner and fun-fetti cookies.

Three girls down our hall put on entertainment for us dancing to music and putting on a bag full of clothes (yeah I didn’t get it either, but it was funny because they were our girls!). Next our RA read a poem that she wrote for us about her feelings for the us and the fun times we had. Lastly, she gave out awards to some of our most infamous residents. Recognitions were given out for Most Likely to Set the Fire Alarm, Most Outrageous Injuries, Most Lock Outs, and Most Dirty Dishes. Unfortunately I received Most Dirty Dishes.

 I was just too excited about school and blogs I couldn’t focus on anything else, especially dishes. The rest of night was amazing. I’m really going to miss all these girls. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to spend my first year of college with. I knew a lot of the girls really well and I know that God has a special plan for them in the future. Next year won’t be the same without my RA and 4th north girls. I love you girls and you made my year the best year!

They’re the kind of girls I can look for to have fun with. We usually like to hang out in Melissa’s room and watch movies and work on our laptops (and by work I mean we check our myspace and facebooks). I remember our first outing together after we decided we would roommates. We spent a whole Saturday shopping and eating in Santa Monica. Santa Monica is one of the most fun places to visit in Southern California because there is so much shopping and so many interesting people that perform in the center. There are usually dancers, music groups and people with interesting talents. We had so much fun that day.

Wednesday night I went to APU's west campus and watched the interview. Hollywood Press held the interview and the two hosts were hilarious. My friend Katie and I were laughing throughout the entire interview. Kate may have been the star of Hollywood that evening but APU's own Ungraduate Admissions counselor Steve was one of the hosts of Hollywood Press interviewing Kate.
Not only was it entertaining, but it was also an opportunity to learn. Although I don’t want to pursue acting as a career, it was interesting hearing about her story before and after The Office. This was such an awesome experience that only a Theatre major could have.P.S. I forgot to mention that throughout my freshman year I decided to change my major.    I am now a double major with Theatre Arts and English with a concentration in teaching. I want to become a high school English teacher and direct high school plays.

It's amazing to work with people that personally care about you and help you love your job. We have so much fun at work, but not too much fun because we still get work done. My job is to answer phones, assist with paper work, filing, and making my bosses happy.

The other student workers are pretty rad! I have so much fun working with each of them. My friend from high school, known as Steph-o, was the one that helped me find this job. I started working full-time over the summer and I had a blast. This gave me time to prepare to work for the school year and it gave me time to know the staff and counselors.

Another great part of working at my office are the hard working counselors that take the students calls and assist them with financial aid. They are all really nice people that have made my time working there more enjoyable. Working on-campus is a great experience, it gives you great working experience, you get to work with fun people, and you get a little extra cash to spend at Starbucks!

He is raved by every student that takes his class and they all say he’s the best you can take. It seems like its going to be and enjoyable class and I think he’s going to live up to those comments. [ Later in the week was my friend Katie’s birthday. The girls in my hall wanted to do something special to celebrate. She was coming back to the dorms from her play practice and we thought we would all hide in her room and surprise her with a pizookie. We had so much fun together trying to fit everyone in her room and keeping the whole thing a secret. She was definitely surprised and we enjoyed sharing the pizookie between all the girls. It’s good to be back and I have a good feeling about this semester.

As you first walk through the door the twinkle lights, snowflakes and icicles string above your head. Closer to Santa's workshop were trees sprinkled with snow, and along the way the girls from our hall dressed as elves singing up and down the hall. Our nook became Santa's workshop with a working place for elves and Santa's toy machine. We even had the actual Mr. and Mrs. Clause there! Our hall was the essence of scrumculesent. Later that night they announced the winner of "Deck the Halls" decorating contest and the winners were.....drum roll..... 4TH NORTH!!!! Good job girls and to all the rest of the halls that put in so much work and creativity to their beautiful halls.
