Hi Diddly Dee My Friends!

So, hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with cheer and delicious crumpits! Again, I’m sorry it’s been a while since my last blog, but hey, at least I get to still do it AS A GRAD! Woot! It feels pretty good to be done. Although, I definitely am already missing some of the amazing good times! That’s why I try to make it up here to APU as much as possible! At this point, I’m cruisin’ on my graduation money (Handy dandy tip #1: Have a big party for graduation! I guarantee you it’s worth the work you put into it! Believe me) and I’m on full-fledge job search. I crossing my fingers that I can find something at APU. With everything that APU gave me, I really want to give back my time and efforts! Sooooooooo, when all you awesome future Cougars (pre-cougarious, for the technical term) come to the school, I look forward to serving YOU!

Alright, so--initial take on the graduated life:…um…hmmm. It’s different, because I really am feeling the sense of responsibility that comes with being a grad. It was weird at first, all tingly and stuff, but then it slowly permeates the rest of you and you realize—“okay, um, I’m now officially independent…so, I better find a job…or a big bundle of money…or discover something that a lot of people would pay me to know about.” However, on the other side of things, it is really exciting to think about what God could have in store for me in the future! I love the fact that God is a mysterious God. It allows His power to be unlimited! So, that is my initial take—but, I’m sure there will be a lot more updates. I mean, I haven’t even received my complementary Men’s Health Journal subscription and first set of penny loafers that’s mailed with my diploma…only then will I really know what it means to be grown-up. (I’m kidding, so please don’t come to APU purely for the reason of free ploafers) (Handy dandy tip #2: Call penny loafers “ploafers”, because it shows you know how to talk with the Gen Y market. Fo’ Sho’! Word ;-) )

Exciting things are happening with APU right now and it is such an awesome time to enter into the university—and I’m not just saying that to try to sell APU to all you prospective students out there. Honesty, some rad things are going down. APU is on the rise and in this next season, there is going to be a really strong push in even furthering the already outstanding community aspect of APU. It gets me totally stoked and I don’t even go here anymore. I’ve told you all this before, but the faculty and staff here at APU are amazing. I mean, if they were going to win a medal for what they do here, it would be, like, platinum, or diamond, or some precious radioactive material. All I know, is it would be more than gold. (Handy Dandy Tip #3: When you really want to emphasize how great something is, say that it is better than the best and don’t worry, the confusion that you sometimes leave your audience in is not always a bad thing.)

Well, I think I am going to wrap it up—sorry, there is not a whole lot to talk about right now when I’m in between school and a job. I mean, I could tell you about how I got my wisdom teeth out, drank milkshakes and looked up job and grad school info, but it’s not exactly what you call an “edge-of-your-seat-nail-biting suspense”, which, obviously, all the rest of the things I talk about are (hehe). Anyways, before I leave—I want to congratulate all the high school seniors out there that have been accepted and want to say that it’s a great place. I’ll leave you with my final Handy Dandy Tip #4: Knowing how to identify bird noises is totally NOT nerdy—it’s 100% awesome. Ornothology platinum medal here I come! Later gators!

P.S. You may have noticed that this blog was a bit more serious—its because, now that I’m graduated—I have more “being serious” brain cells.

P.P.S Woah! Sick! It’s says “Alum” under my name now! Cool! Thanks Blogmaster Guru!
