…Oh…Why hello--I didn’t see you there,

Fancy of you to stop by once again, it’s always such a joy when you do! I’m doing quite well, you know. It apparently is in the middle of mid terms week and a lot of people are stressing out. Lucky me with my three classes it isn’t too stressful—BUT, I do have plenty of things to keep my mind busy! Especially with this AIDS tent that I am working on, though I’ll talk about that a little bit later. I actually feel kind of bad though right now, all my friends are frustrated (but, lets be honest, its jealousy) at me because I don’t have any mid-term stuff. Alex (my Fiancé) is jam packed to the rafters with stuff she has to do—remember, she is a nursing major and Nursing=HARD WORK. I wish I could help her with things, but she talks about things that I can’t even pronounce.

I cannot wait for tomorrow though! Tomorrow night I get to have dinner with President and his wife! In case you don’t know, our president, Jon Wallace, is the best thing to hit this earth since the train whistle. He has to be related to William Wallace or something because he is that cool. I’m sure he would look amazing with blue paint on his face…and carrying a gargantuan sword…and wearing a kilt…yeuh J-Dub! I get to do it with a couple friends because I’m on homecoming court…yeah, it’s weird, we have homecoming court in college— but hey, if it gets me time with the Prez…count me in!

Tomorrow I get my first lesson in guitar too with one of my best buds—Alex (A-turp). This man has spoken into my life in incredibly powerful ways the last three years and I consider him to be one of the greats of this world—I’m sure he would look good with blue paint and all that jazz too. Anyways, he wails on the guitar and he is going to begin to teach me some stuff. It’s more to just schedule time to hang out with him, but I have always wanted to learn how to play the guitar—Even though like every person and a half plays the guitar here. It’s cool though, I look forward to the mentorship of a master. It truly is cool though, you will make relationships like the one that I have with Alex here at APU and they will rock your world for the better!

Tomorrow is also the day that I begin my campaign for the AIDS Tent here at APU. Tomorrow I am setting up a table on Cougar Walk (The primary locus of fun and adventure—you’ll see if you take the tour) and will be signing up volunteers for the tent. Hey, ask me what time it is…go ahead, ask me—say it out loud. Did you say it?..............GAME TIME! WOO! No, but it really is, I really gotta get cracking on this AIDS Tent this week so that it is ready by November 11, but I’m confident and ready and it’s going to be a super-sick event! Speaking of game time, did you know that APU is taking on UCLA in basketball??? Ya, we’re very humble about it, but we just want to let you know that we are that incredibly gnarly and super good at basketball! We are, like, almost the best ever. It’s because we have a superhero for a president…who likes wearing blue paint.

Switching to a little heavier issue, being in Alpha, I am involved with a class called Beginnings that all freshmen take—it addresses a lot of the real issues that students face in their first year of college. This week is a pretty heavy topic—it’s the topics of sexual assault, body image and pornography. This is definitely a week in which freshmen get thrown into investigating what it means to act for Christ in the midst of difficult issues. This is also the time in which Alpha leaders really get to see what they’re made of. Though it is a hard time, it is also an exciting time because leaders can shine and freedom can be found…praise God!

Oh man, I really feel like a slurpee right now, its midnight and it sounds so amazingly delectable right now! ….mmmm…blue raspberry sour straw…that’s the nums right there! Speaking of slurpees, I’ll give you an update on Hard Drive (That’s the name of my apartment). So the roommate kick of the week is baseball—we have been playing catch quite a bit this last week. Oh and also this hard workout that is stupid because it leaves you ridiculously sore. Yah yah, I know that means it’s good…and ya, it may be because I haven’t worked out in a long time…and ya, ya, I actually kinda liked it…but it still hurts…Ouch! My pectoralis!!!! Hehe. Oh and I am supposed to tell you: Remember how I talked about how Chad just bombed his test…welllllllll, turns out that the Lord has shown him favor. He got a 93%. It was a huge curve, but he still got a 93%. There Chad, you happy, I told them…

Well, it’s about that time to say goodbye to all my friends and me, M-I-C...Okay, never mind, let’s not start that. So, I leave you with this my friends: “A pumpkin is only as good as its jukebox”. Think about it…Peace!
