About

Azusa Pacific’s master's in accounting is experience-based, offering students a relevant, marketable education and a streamlined path to an advanced degree. Students in the Master of Professional Accountancy program develop accounting expertise in preparation for careers as Certified Public Accountants (CPAs). In-depth coursework equips candidates to master the CPA exam, while internship experience with a public accounting firm allows them to apply and advance new learning.

The program is designed for recent graduates to continue on as full-time learners in a traditional classroom setting. This intensive, accelerated format enables students to complete their coursework and graduate with a master’s degree in just 12 months. The program culminates with a thorough capstone review, utilizing the official Becker CPA Exam Review model, in which students integrate accounting theory and principles in preparation for the CPA exam.

A pragmatic and ethically based curriculum is the signature of APU’s advanced business and accounting programs. Housed within Azusa Pacific’s School of Business and Management, the LP and Timothy Leung School of Accounting trains and graduates accounting professionals whose character and competence reflect the life of Christ and shine the light of Truth.

Earning a master’s degree from APU also means joining a family of colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds. Alumni go on to lead with integrity as difference makers in business and society. Graduates gain a valuable resource in networking opportunities held by faculty and alumni throughout the year.
