Before entering college, Cloyd Havens, JD, was an entrepreneur, owning and operating a retail business and a commercial business for 15 years. Since completing law school, he's been a self-employed attorney and professor. His law practice focuses on transactional law, in which he assists business owners and managers with legal and managerial issues related to their businesses. This experience in the business world has given him a perspective that he brings to the classroom, and his courses are designed to give academic knowledge and an insight into the real-world application of that knowledge. A great pleasure of his is assisting past students who share his entrepreneurial spirit in establishing new ventures.
