Ho Kim, Ph.D., is assistant professor of marketing at Azusa Pacific University. Kim studied business administration at Yonsei University (B.B.A., 1997) and management engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (M.E., 1999) in his native South Korea. He then obtained his Ph.D. in Management from UCLA Anderson School of Management (2013). His research interests include online word-of-mouth, online search, advertising and integrated marketing communication, and long-term effectiveness of marketing activities. He applies his expertise in data-analytic methods such as econometrics and time-series analysis to find managerial insights from real-world marketing data.
He has seven years of work experience in the telecommunications industry in South Korea. From 1999 to 2001, he was a software engineer at KT Infotech (now Pivotec), where he developed a large-scale information system using C++ and Pro*C. From 2001 to 2006, he was a researcher and business consultant at Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, where he consulted for KT’s new-business and marketing strategies.
