Roxanne Helm-Stevens joined the School of Business and Management faculty in 2000, teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs. In 2007, she accepted the chair position for the Master of Arts in Human Resources and Organizational Development (now the MAM degree), which she has since given up. Her areas of teaching include organizational behavior, management, business, and employee development.
Prior to joining APU, Helm-Stevens worked in public and private industry for 20 years, during which time she held management positions in various industries. Throughout her corporate career, she received recognition and numerous awards for her work in performance improvement, benchmarking, and best practices. Active in her field, she has received national certifications from the International Society for Process Improvement and the American Society for Training and Development.
Helm-Stevens received her MBA with specializations in leadership and human and organizational development from Azusa Pacific University. She is in the dissertation stage of her doctorate in strategic management from Alliant International University. She has participated in national and international conferences, presenting and publishing on the topics of strategic business management, organizational behavior, educational leadership, and service-learning.
