Biography

Dr. Steve Gabriel is an adjunct instructor at Azusa Pacific University. After a twenty-year career in the U.S. military (with jobs in engineering, acquisition, and space operations), Dr. Gabriel has worked in the Information Technology industry for nineteen years. He is a recognized expert in the field of the laser systems and the safety of satellites and has published a number of technical articles on the topic.

Along the way, Steve has focused extensively on the spiritual journey and living Christianity in the 21st century. He recently served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and the President of the International Council for Kairos Prison Ministry, International. Kairos is a global Christian ministry with over 30,000 volunteers that offers programs in over 400 prisons and communities in the U.S. and ten other countries. Steve is also a certified volunteer chaplain at a hospital, certified spiritual director, and experienced retreat leader. Dr. Gabriel has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels for over fourteen years, including on-line courses.
