Epps is the pastor of Second Baptist Church, the oldest African American church in Los Angeles, and president of Canaan Housing Corporation, an organization that seeks to improve the quality of life in the South Central community by developing affordable housing. Rev. Epps is also an adjunct professor of preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary and an editor for The National Baptist Voice.
