Jars of Clay formed in 1993 while in college. Since then, Jars of Clay has produced 11 albums; sold more than 5 million copies; and won 3 Grammy Awards, 9 GMA Dove Awards, and 5 BMI Awards. Jars of Clay and Blood:Water Mission have been meeting the need of clean blood and clean water for various communities in Africa. Blood:Water Mission, a Nashville-based nonprofit organization, co-founded by Jars of Clay, empowers communities to work against the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa through grassroots efforts.
