An assistant campus pastor at APU, Canales has been in ministry since 2005, including serving as the college pastor at his church and with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He especially enjoys working with APU students in the areas of encouragement, spiritual direction, and identity formation. He is an APU alumnus and holds an M.Div. from Fuller Theological Seminary.
