A professor of practical theology at APU, Bruner was born and raised in the Philippines as the child of missionary parents. He has a M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. from Fuller Theological Seminary. His areas of scholarly interest include literature and theology, spiritual development, and cultural hermeneutics.
