Facebook has around 1 billion active users on the planet. If Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest in the world, after China and India. By this time next year, it should surpass those countries in population. Originally called Facemash, it was a site designed by a college male sophomore at Harvard to rate girls’ “hotness.” How did a site designed to rank which girls were hotter become the most important thing in your life, and why should you be concerned about that?

Are there theological implications to your membership on Facebook? And are you actually losing friends, and your own identity, with each status update?

Come to this event to hear why Professor Michael Bruner would respond to these questions with a yes, yes, yes, and yes.
