As part of the Graduate School of Theology's FAITH MATTERS SERIES, you’re invited to come hear Dr. Bobby Duke share about the Green Collection (ANE biblical artifacts), APU's involvement with this collection, and how Scripture was used on amulets from the ancient Near East.

During his college years, Bobby Duke came across John Wesley's 'An Address to the Clergy' and read Wesley's strong encouragement to learn the biblical languages.

Wesley stated, 'Do I understand the language of the Old Testament, critically, at all? Can I read into English one of David's Psalms (from the Hebrew texts); or even the first chapter of Genesis?'

With this encouragement Duke decided to go to the Middle East and study Hebrew. His studies have opened the door for APU students to research items in the Green Collection. To learn more about this collection beforehand, visit: www.greenscholarsinitiative.org/
