Training on Person-Centered Care for People with Dementia

This training is provided through a partnership between the departments of Social Work and HR/Workplace Learning.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Drawing from professional and personal experience, the presenters will introduce the dementia syndrome, how to enhance communication and understand challenging behaviors.  Special focus will be on reducing caregiver burden.

WHO MAY ATTEND?

APU staff and faculty who are considering or involved in the care of another adult with memory impairment and suspected dementia.  (Relatives are welcome to attend if space is available.)
