The Flipped Classroom will flop if students are not given meaningful opportunities for practice online. You know how to provide interactions in person. How about virtually? Even though the flipped model advocates more content delivery online and practice in the classroom, some faculty have found success in using activities such as online forums and quizzes prior to class to make sure students are prepared for class.

This workshop will cover:

· How to use forums and assignments in your course

· Best practices for designing and monitoring forums/threaded discussions

· How to use quizzes

· Examples of collaborative exercises, journaling, student presentations, case studies and projects.
