Hansel and Gretel has delighted audiences for many years. The German composer, Engelbert Humperdinck wanted to compose an opera that would be enjoyed by both adults and children. The story is based on the Grimm’s Fairy Tale of two children being lost in a forest, and using their cleverness to outwit a witch. Beautiful melodies wound through a fanciful story create an enjoyable evening not to be missed.
