Michael Schütze, professor of accompaniment / song interpretation at the University of Music in Dresden and at the Kreismusikschule Dreiländereck, has been doing annual residencies at Cal State Fullerton for about 7 years now, specializing in Lieder with their upper-division students. He has given master classes at USC, Cincinnatti, and other major schools in the US, in addition to his fellowships at festivals like Tanglewood.  He is very active on the German competition circuit, playing as an official accompanist for several competitions and working closely with the Dresden Staatsoper as well as the late DF Dieskau.

This interview is open the public.
