Coram Deo - Theology of Creation & the Environment

Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 68:30 p.m.

Posted by: School of Theology

Our goal on this topic is to make it much more than a simplistic discussion on the question of evolution and creation. Instead, what are the practical implications for us as Christ-followers if we believe that God created the earth?  Does the scientific view of creation have to be at odds with a biblical view?  What suggestions does the Genesis account of creation make for us as Christ-followers and stewards of God’s creation?  Does this have implications with regard to our view of environmental issues, or how we live?

Panelists:

Bruce Baloian - Biblical Studies

Cahleen shrier - Biology & Chemistry

Rico Vitz - Philosophy

Jessica Wong - Theology

Jacquelyn Winston - moderator
