Rubrics save grading time, convey effective feedback, and foster student learning. This workshop will provide faculty with an overview of why the use of rubrics is a teaching/learning best practice and will equip faculty to create various types of rubrics for assignment feedback and grading. Participants will be introduced to tools to immediately construct and implement rubrics in their teaching, build a community with other faculty around the topic of rubrics, and collect a toolbox of rubric samples that can be adopted for their use.
