Speaker: Greg Plutko, EdD, Superintendent, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District

Today’s leaders are asked to provide an authentic and collaborative based form of leadership for the teams they are privileged to lead. Twenty-first-century technology developments have allowed us to grow and gather our knowledge and experiences from unlimited sources at exponential rates.  The challenge for leaders pivots sharply on the “white noise” that is created by the vast and fast-moving amounts of information.  The “echo chamber” refers to the dangers of subscribing to narrow bands of opinion and debate.  Leaders must be intentional about cultivating an environment that encourages an engagement in diversity of thought and experience…thus leading through the echo chamber.

Light Refreshments Provided.

Professional Development Seminar followed by a brief information meeting for the EdD Program in Educational Leadership at Azusa Pacific University and one-on-one Q&A.
