Accompanied by a string ensemble with baroque instruments, the students of APU Opera Workshop, led by Dr. Ryan Reithmeier and Maestro Stephen Karr, present the classic work of Henry Purcell and Nahum Tate. Dido, Queen of Carthage, is fixated on her fate and the power it has over her personal and courtly life. Aeneas, hero of Virgil's great saga, and the superstitious witches bring conflict to the life of Dido who must choose between her duty to her position and her very life and love.
