Student Post Office

The Student Post Office provides the student body of Azusa Pacific University the same postal privileges to which any U.S. resident is entitled. The Student Post Office also monitors incoming mail in order to hold students accountable to the university’s code of conduct and policies.

Location and Hours

We are located on the southeast corner of the Turner Campus Center between the ASB office and Seven Palms. View on campus map.

Fridays, 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Saturdays, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Services

  • Provides unit boxes to all enrolled undergraduate APU students
  • Staffs two service windows: a package window and a counter service window. Hours are posted on each window.
  • Distributes outside mail and intracampus mail.
  • Sells stamps (first class and foreign) and mails packages. Only cash is accepted. We do not carry regular mailing envelopes or packing materials.
  • Stocks the following supplies: USPS Priority and Express envelopes/boxes, and various forms (custom slips, delivery confirmation, certified mail, etc.)
  • West Campus Mail Center processes UPS, DHL, FedEx, and OnTrac overnight services

Sending Mail

All outgoing mail must be at the Student Post Office by 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, for same-day processing. If a student is mailing more than ten items to on-campus mailboxes, they must be placed in numerical order according to the unit number and bound together with a rubber band. The student post office coordinator must approve all group mailings (e.g., flyers). Upon approval, the sender may stuff mailboxes with the intended flyer under the supervision of the post office staff at an appointed time during regular hours. All such on-campus mail must pertain to either academic or extracurricular activities sponsored by Azusa Pacific University. This option is not available to off-campus organizations, churches, advertising enterprises, and personal interest groups of any non-APU organizations.

Receiving Mail

Unit Boxes

Every undergraduate student is required to have an on-campus unit box. These unit boxes will be assigned during registration. Each student will receive a key for his/her unit box. In the event a key is lost or stolen, a replacement fee of $25 will be charged each time a new key is issued.

Students should check their mail regularly. Mail that is left for more than 30 days will be returned to sender and the student’s unit box will be closed. It is the responsibility of all students to leave a forwarding address [fill out and turn in a Move Policy for Reconfiguration (PDF) with the Student Post Office staff before leaving campus for summer break. If no forwarding address is provided, all mail will be returned to the sender and the unit box will be closed. There is no forwarding available during Christmas or Easter break.

Graduating seniors must fill out the Student Information Card (PDF) and turn in their unit box key the Friday before graduation. If a graduating senior fails to turn in their key, forwarding privileges will be revoked and all mail will be returned to the sender until the key is returned to the Student Post Office.

Student Mailing Address

Your unit box number must appear on all incoming mail and packages. Mail without your unit box number may be delayed. See below for examples of how mail should be addressed to you based on the mail service carrier delivering it.

Picking up a Package

If a package comes for you, a Package Notification Slip will be put in your unit box. Take it to the package pick-up window, present a photo ID, and a clerk will get your package for you. Please do not call to inquire about a package without first checking your mailbox for a Package Notification Slip. We do not check individual mailboxes.
