Bicycle Protection
Due to the high number of bicycles stolen on campus each year, Campus Safety has taken a proactive approach toward unsecured and unregistered bicycles.
Campus Safety officers will be giving bicycle warning cards, and possibly confiscating bicycles for safekeeping. Once a bicycle warning card has been issued, the student must move and/or register their bike or the lock will be cut off at the owner’s expense. If the bike is not claimed within 30 days, it will be donated to a local charity.
All bicycles are required to be registered with the Department of Campus Safety. In the unfortunate event that a bicycle is stolen, registered information is vital to help identify whether or not the stolen bicycle has been recovered.
