Profile
Jim Thompson has had a love for art since he was a child, long before he completed an Ed.D. in Art Education at Illinois State University in 1988. He has been teaching art for around 25 years, beginning with the El Monte Unified School District. Thompson later when on to teach art at Olivet Nazarene University. In addition to teaching, Thompson has completed various commissioned murals and art work. He has previously had a one man art show in the gallery at Coast Hills Church, Aliso Viejo, California last October, 2005. In the last several years he has begun using sermons as material for inspiring new art works. Thompson brings his love and passion for art to the Azusa Pacific University's HDEV Program. Students will benefit from his active role in the art community and experience teaching art.
