This course is the first semester of a two-semester study of nonclassical physics, namely special relativity and quantum mechanics. Topics include special relativity, particle-wave duality, and the one- dimensional Schrodinger equation. Prerequisite: PHYC 252; MATH 253 and MATH 350 recommended
