Community Satellite Services

The Child and Family Development Center offers therapeutic services in two local churches in order to promote mental health services in surrounding communities. Counseling is offered to members and nonmembers of each church. Specific areas of treatment include premarital counseling, individual counseling for all ages, and group therapy. Pediatric Assessment Program

The Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute (PNI) is a new community service offered by APU’s Child and Family Development Center and is located next door to the CFDC. The PNI offers state-of-the-art assessment and treatment by experts in such disciplines as pediatric neuropsychology, child psychology, family therapy, developmental nursing, pediatric physical therapy, school psychology, and special education. The PNI philosophy centers on working with the family, school, and community to assist in providing an environment that encourages children to thrive.
