Light in the Fog
Driving in the mountains during winter months often takes you into fog. It’s thick, white, and no matter how hard you try it’s very hard to see. The occasional cars coming from the other direction remind you how treacherous low visibility can be. Then, you catch a glimpse of a red light ahead – the lights of a car that has gone where you are going. It becomes like a life-line. It’s your guide to navigate safely through the twists and turns.
Maybe you’re in a fog. It’s hard to see where you are going. What you’re doing doesn’t seem to have any connection or meaning without seeing the direction and destination. But the Holy Spirit always gives you a light in the fog. A guide, something to help you navigate. It may not show you the complete path, but just enough to keep you moving forward with confidence. When the fog sets in, look for the light. That’s God helping you navigate the twists and turns.
