G. James Daichendt is Associate Professor and Exhibitions Director in the Department of Art at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. Prior to this appointment, he served as Acting Director and Lecturer for the Graduate Art Education Program at Queens College, City University of New York. After a robust museum career, where he served as Director of Education for the Dahesh Museum of Art in New York City and The Naples Art Association’s von Liebig Art Center in Naples, FL he continues to write on issues related to aesthetic education and the historical cross sections between art making and teaching. Holding an active curatorial career, recent projects include Revisiting Pollock and Wild Biology. Dr. Daichendt earned his doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University and masters’ degrees respectively from Harvard University and Boston University. He resides in Newport Beach, CA with his wife and three children.
