Christopher Rupp, MFA ’13
Residence: Santa Barbara, California
Profession: Adjunct professor, artist
Mediums: Mixed media
Artist’s Transformation: As a college professor, Christopher Rupp knew he wanted to continue mentoring other artists while cultivating his own practice of creating conceptual, mixed-media artwork. Through the MFA program, he said he found the motivation to push through creative boundaries. “At APU, you get the perspectives that you wouldn’t without this built-in community of artists and outside voices,” he said. “All of them speak into your work and challenge you to grow.”
