Artist’s Transformation: Marissa Quinn discovered the notion of art as something bigger than one’s self during her undergraduate studies at APU. Continuing on into the MFA program, she said the studio-focused format lends itself to creative exploration. “This program will not make you into a boxed-in artist,” said Quinn, who works with mixed media to create large, highly textural paintings that position nature in contrast to the detachment of modern technology.
