The research seminar provides the student an opportunity to experience the scientific research process. Students design and implement a research project and present it at a university research symposium. Additionally, many students secure internships with local organizations. Internships include hospital and laboratory observation experiences, venipuncture skills, emergency medicine, and chemistry lab work. These experiences ensure that biology students graduate with tangible evidence of their skills on their résumés.
