Bin Tang’s research focuses on algorithm design in data-intensive sensor network-based scientific applications, including natural disaster warning and climate change monitoring. Specifically, it concerns how to preserve large volumes of data in intermittently connected sensor networks under storage and energy constraints of sensor nodes. His research was recently funded by the National Science Foundation.
