David Bicker is the founder of the Department of Communication Studies at Azusa Pacific, and was a longtime faculty member (1987-2006) as well as chair of the department (1998-2002), before retiring in 2006. He also organized APU's first Communication Ethics Conference in 1989, an annual event that is now named in his honor.
