Diane Glancy returned to teaching after retirement to be in the creative writing classroom with students. Her latest collection of essays, The Dream of a Broken Field, was published by the University of Nebraska Press in 2011. Her latest collections of poetry, Stories of the Driven World and It Was Then, were published by Mammoth Press in Lawrence, Kansas, in 2010 and 2012, respectively. She has won two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, a Minnesota Book Award, an Oklahoma Book Award, and an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation.
