Michelle Stabler-Havener has an M.A. in TESOL from APU and a Master of Divinity with an emphasis in crosscultural
studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. She first came to China, where she currently resides with her husband
James, in 1996. While there, she taught English and teaching methods to Chinese middle school teachers. She now
teaches intercultural communication to post-graduate, non-English major students at Sichuan Normal University and is Worker Care Coordinator, an educational oversight and pastoral care position, for Mennonite Partners in China. Michelle is an ordained minister in the Mennonite Church USA.
