Financial Aid

In lieu of traditional financial aid, students enrolled in the field-based program receive a tuition discount, reflected in the costs above, and pay a percentage of the regular graduate TESOL tuition, which increases $10 or more each year. In 2009, students pay 55 percent of the regular graduate TESOL tuition, 60 percent in 2010, 65 percent in 2011, and 70 percent in 2012.

Payment

Students must procure a check to pay for tuition, housing, and miscellaneous fees the first day of class each term. (ELIC teachers may simply indicate to bill ELIC for these expenses.)

Students purchase textbooks in advance (July) for the entire academic year (two terms) at the University Bookstore (credit cards accepted). Non-ELIC teachers pay a $100 fee to ELIC in Term 2 and 4 to cover costs of hosting classes in Thailand (cash or check only). Students may opt to pay housing costs online by credit card at an additional three percent fee.
