Independent Study
Self-directed language learning is available through the Department of Modern Languages. Student request for a nonscheduled independent language study must be accompanied by a detailed plan and specific objectives as worked out by the student and the advisor. This arrangement is limited to upper-division students who have received department approval. They may earn between one and four units per semester. The petition and fee schedule can be obtained from the Department of Modern Languages.
