Profile
Linnea Larson, Ph.D., M.P.H., R.D., worked in public health nutrition for nine years before getting her Ph.D. in clinical psychology. She integrates her background in health and nutrition into her psychological work and research in the areas of trauma, PTSD, health, and nutrition. Larson has also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in correctional psychology and psychosocial rehabilitation, where she worked with seriously mentally ill adults and received training in dialectical behavior therapy, a new therapy modality for borderline personality disorder. She plans to start an undergraduate research lab in which students can learn and do research on issues related to the prevention and treatment of PTSD and related problems.
