Requirements

All cinematic arts majors follow a group of core classes (listed below) that provide a deep understanding of the foundational principles of cinema. The core requirements are designed to guide students through developing, writing, producing, and evaluating critical and creative efforts. Students are also challenged to learn about the business aspects of film and television, and to broaden their understanding of the arts and industry through a study of the history of film and television.

In addition, students are given the choice of focusing their education in one of three tracks of study. These tracks of study are designed to prepare students to achieve career goals by sharpening their understanding and abilities in the area Cinema/Television Production, Screenwriting, or Critical Studies.
