Audition Requirements
For BFA Candidates
Students interested in the BFA in Acting for the Stage and Screen must audition before they enter APU. They must also apply and be accepted to the university. Faculty are looking for students who display potential for a professional acting career in stage and screen. To audition, please prepare:
- Two contrasting monologues (no longer than 90 seconds)
- 16-bar song (accompanist provided; if you are not a singer, we want to see your creativity and sense of fun—you can sing a capella, i.e. "Happy Birthday.")
- Please bring a picture and a resume.
Spring 2013 Auditions
January 19, 2013, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
January 25, 2013, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
If you cannot attend campus auditions on the date listed below, you can submit a video of the above requirements, plus a resume and headshot, to:
