William Boocock, M.A., is a vocal and music theory specialist who has been preparing singers for careers as professional vocal musicians for more than 30 years. Boocock is director of Coast Vocal Studios in Fountain Valley, California, and has also been the minister of music at Christ Presbyterian Church in Huntington Beach, California, for the last 10 years. He has appeared as a solo vocalist with the California Bach Choir, Irvine Camarata, and more, and has enjoyed tenor roles in Handel’s Judas Maccabeus, Samson, and Messiah; Mendelsohnn’s Elijah; Britton’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Est Dies Trophei; Scarlatti’s Saint Cecilia Mass; Schubert’s Mass in G; Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors; and Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady. He has performed under the baton of notable conductors such as Howard Swan, Charles Hirt, Roger Wagner, Helmut Rilling, Robert Hickok, and Harold Decker. As the winner of the Christian Artists’ coveted Songwriter’s Award, Bookcock was granted a record contract and publishing rights to his winning song.
