Clovis Blackwell is an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles whose work focuses on themes of suffering, perseverance,and transformation. At APU he teaches all levels of printmaking with an emphasis on screenprinting. Blackwell received his MFA from Azusa Pacific University in 2009, and a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute in 1999. His work has been exhibited in juried international competitions and group shows, including The
Kennedy Center (Washington D.C.), World Financial Center Gallery (New York, NY), Covington Cathedral (Covington, KY), San Luis Obispo Museum of Art (SanLuis Obispo, CA), Westmont Museum of Art (Santa Barbara, CA), and the Cuesta College Art Gallery (San Luis Obispo, CA).
