David Joyce is a singer/keyboard player/songwriter who has worked with the likes of Chris Isaak, Burt Bacharach, U2, Neil Young, Oasis, Natalie Cole, Elvis Costello, Dionne Warwick, Sheryl Crow, Ray Charles, Babyface, Michael Jackson, David Byrne, Richard Marx, Tim McGraw, Wyonna Judd, Frank Sinatra, Vince Gill, and Barry Manilow. He has played and sung on many television shows, including the 2013 Academy Awards, Family Guy, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Passions, Saved by the Bell, and The Tonight Show. Some of the films he has sung on include Oz The Great and Powerful, Real Steel, Sucker Punch, The Last Airbender, Watchmen, X2, Wanted, Spider-Man 3, The Simpsons Movie, World Trade Center, Superman Returns, King Kong, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, There’s Something About Mary, The Sixth Sense, Big, Contact, L.A. Story, and Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey.

David won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Group in 1981 for Clare Fischer’s “2+2.” He was an adjudicator/clinician at the 2010 Reno Jazz Festival, as well as at a number of Southern California vocal festivals.

David is also teaching vocal jazz at Cal State Northridge University; studio singing at the LAMA Academy (Pasadena); and songwriting and vocal performance classes at Pasadena City College. David also taught studio singing and career building for singers at USC, vocal arranging and harmony for vocalists at Musician’s Institute, and master classes for Grove’s School of Music, Long Beach Poly High School, and Pro Voce (national singers and voice teachers’ organization). David has led vocal seminars in Italy for the past eight years, including several at the prestigious Verdi School in Florence.
