Nicole Green Hodges, MFA, was raised in Rialto, California, and beginning at age 18 spent three years in Provo, Utah, where she learned a unique set of life lessons. The challenge to thrive in a polarized environment, as she grew into her adulthood, planted a seed that grew into a lifelong passion and laid the underlying path for her art practices and creative concepts. Her work calls to attention the dynamics between remote pairings of people and points of view. It aims to form and expose unlikely bridges between individuals, random groups of people, and polarized perspectives. Her installations are composed of assembled sculptures, paintings, humor, and a special attention to the most basic understandings of the world through our senses and our existence as spiritual children. As an artist, Hodges delights in the commonalities among and differences between people, both unique and mundane, found within the human experience.
